I’m not entirely sure if it’s their uber blond hair, or their 18 months-or-so age difference, or the way the Big Sister stole the Little Sister’s Cherrio’s… But spending time with these two felt like I was watching me and my sister 24 years (or so) ago.
Mrs. Knight found me through a friend of a friend – who is also a photographer. (One of my favorite things about Portland is the community of photographers and how we all throw work each other’s-way.) I had heard from the friend-of-a-friend that Mrs. Knight’s girls were the cutest. I was not prepared, in anyway, for this level of cuteness.
We commandeered the Knight’s neighbors back garden for this shoot. Situated in the West Hills, just shy of the Japanese Gardens, the light and surroundings could not have been more magestic and ’secret-garden’ish. We had evening light, a slight breeze and little girls running around. It was a great shoot with an incredible family.
